For nearly 15 years, Bennett has had the privilege to work on the national expansion and strategy of some of the most innovative and successful retailers in the world. He specializes in high street retailers and property advisory on a national basis and has negotiated transactions in all markets with all major landlords. He currently leads the national expansion of brands such as Interior Define, Cos Bar and Shadowbox.
Since 2013, he has led the strategy and growth of Bonobos from just a few stores to their current national fleet of over 65 locations. With the acquisition of Bonobos by Wal-Mart, Bennett continues to be a strategic partner with their Digital Consumer Brand Division and assists on the strategy and execution of their portfolio of retail concepts: Bonobos, Modcloth, Eloquii, Allswell, etc.
Prior to RUE, Bennett formerly spent almost 10 years with Open Realty Advisors, where he got his start in the business working with Apple on all aspects of their real estate needs. While there, he was a key partner in the site selection, market analysis and lease negotiations on all clients including: L’Occitane en Provence, J. Crew, Madewell, J Crew Mercantile, Restoration Hardware, Spanx, Tesla, Apple, and Warby Parker. Bennett has also worked throughout the U.S. on the portfolio management for PacSun, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and Abercrombie Kids. Immediately prior to RUE, he served as a Senior Vice President at The Retail Connection.
Bennett prides himself on staying up to date on market trends, the evolution of retailers, and the changing retail landscape across the United States. Bennett’s college years were split between the University of Mississippi and Adams State University where he majored in History.
